About Us: BAJ

Germany has a differentiated system of rules which prohibit minors under a certain age from engaging in certain activities, as well as from smoking, consuming alcohol and viewing certain films.

The Federal Association of Child and Youth Protection (BAJ) is a non-governmental organization in Germany whose membership consists not of private individuals, but of other associations, which help children, adolescents and sometimes adults as well who are facing problems in connection with drugs, violence or sexual assault. BAJ's members work together with schools, kindergartens, parent initiatives and youth welfare offices and offer events relating to educational questions and media pedagogy.

BAJ has represented these associations on the national level since 1951, advising the government and parliament on youth safety questions and conducting nationwide public relations work.
